Former Ireland international centre Kevin Maggs has come to a mutual agremment to leave his hometown club Bristol.

Former Ireland international centre Kevin Maggs has come to a mutual agremment to leave his hometown club Bristol.

"Kevin is a Bristolian through and through," Bristol CEO Steve Gorvett said.

"He started out at the club as a youngster and went on to have a marvelous international career. We wish Kevin and his family all the very best for the future."

Maggs made his international debut for Ireland against New Zealand in November 1997 and went on to play in the 1999 and 2003 World Cups, forming a sound partnership with Brian O'Driscoll and winning a total of 70 caps.
