Hansen unhappy with alleged filming incident
New Zealand assistant coach Steve Hansen has accused an Australian television station of supplying footage to the Wallabies ahead of the Tri-Nations decider last Saturday.
The All Blacks management are set to complain to the Australian Rugby Union after Hansen claimed he was told a New Zealand training session was taped and then handed to their rivals.
Hansen said in The Dominion Post: “It’s really disappointing. It’s disappointing from the TV’s point of view, I think.
“I definitely know it was one session and then they gave it to the Australians. It’s disappointing the Australians actually used it.
“It’s hard enough to win games without the opposition knowing what you’re going to do with it before you do, and that’s why we do our analysis.”
The All Blacks still ran out 28-24 winners in Brisbane to retain the Tri-Nations trophy, but Hansen admits the incident could have repercussions on future training sessions.
“The disappointing thing is next time we are here, it is going to be difficult for our people to watch us train,” he added.
