Global referees’ chief Paddy O’Brien has heaped praise on Australian television match official Stuart Dickinson, insisting there is “no doubt” he was correct to disallow Mark Cueto’s try in the World Cup final.

England lost 15-6 to South Africa in Paris last night but the turning point was undoubtedly Dickinson’s ruling that Cueto’s foot had touched the line as he went to ground.
