Injuries compound Scotland woe
Several Scotland players are struggling with injury following their historic RBS 6 Nations defeat to Italy at the weekend.
Chris Paterson (right ankle), Euan Murray (left thigh), Dave Callam (left calf) and Kelly Brown (right shoulder) have all been assessed by the Scotland medical team today.
And all are unavailable to train when the Scotland squad gather at Murrayfield tomorrow to begin preparations for the match against Ireland a week on Saturday.
Scotland team doctor James Robson said: “Of all of these, Chris Paterson, Euan Murray and Dave Callam are unlikely to take part in training this week and will continue with daily treatment.
“In addition, treatment is ongoing for Dougie Hall (thigh), Rob Dewey (back) and Gavin Kerr (knee), who also sustained bumps and bruises in the match against Italy.”
