Breffni O'Donnell made a try-scoring return to AIB League action today as Clontarf continued their historical dominance over Buccaneers.

'Tarf beat the westerners for the seventh time in seven league meetings at Castle Avenue with AIB Club international O'Donnell grabbing one of their two tries.

A penalty apiece from the hosts - Conal Keane and Buccs place-kicker Tommy Cregan - saw the sides turn around at 3-3.

But in a high quality second half, centre O'Donnell, who had been out with a long-term leg injury, and out-half Niall McNamara bulldozed through for converted tries, to which Buccs had no answer.
