IRFU defends Croke Park ticket prices

The IRFU today defended ticket prices for Six Nations matches due to take place at Croke Park next spring.

Seats in corporate boxes, availing of full corporate hospitality, will cost €850 plus VAT.

General terrace tickets will cost from €30 to €80 for stand seats and €110 for premium level spots.

IRFU spokesman Karl Richardson said this morning that the corporate prices are similar to those operating up to now at Lansdowne Road.

The price for the last Ireland v England Six Nations match in 2004 was €830 plus VAT, whereas current prices for corporate tickets at Twickenham are more than €1,000, according to Mr Richardson.
