Garryowen ran in six tries to complete a hugely successful regulation phase of Division One at Dooradoyle.

Paul Cunningham’s charges guaranteed first spot in the table, setting up a fascinating semi-final duel at home to champions Shannon next Saturday. Twin brother wingers Cillian and Ciaran O’Boyle (2) shared out three tries.

UCD, still in the hunt at half-time at 19-10 down, mustered tries from out-half Eoghan Hickey, full-back Ross McCarron and prop Brian McGovern.

Centre Kevin Hartigan, as well as back rows Paul Neville and Anthony Kavanagh, touched down to complete Garryowen’s 14th win in 15 League games.
