Frost issues apology

Disgraced second row Rowan Frost has offered an apology to the management, players and supporters of Ulster Rugby after committing an anti-doping violation.

He tested positive for cannabis after the Leinster-Ulster Celtic League tie at Donnybrook at the start of October.

“Firstly, I would like to express my apologies to not only the management and team members of Ulster Rugby but also to the supporters and followers of Ulster Rugby in respect of this regrettable incident," he said.

"I take full responsibility for my actions, which have proved to be a severe lesson to me in both my personal capacity and that as a professional rugby player. This incident will have caused embarrassment and concern to many and I again apologise unreservedly in respect of my actions.

“I would like to assure everyone that this is a one-off naïve mistake, which will never be repeated. As I have said, I accept the consequences of my actions, which have led to a two-month suspension from rugby."

I feel that I have let down my fellow squad members, the management team and the supporters and, in the future, given the opportunity, I intend to repay those people for their support through this difficult period.”
