Stringer out for a month

Peter Stringer will be the main casualty from Munster's preparation for Leinster's visit to Musgrave Park on Sunday.

He received a a knee injury that could keep him out of the game for a month. This will include Munster's first two Heineken Cup matches.

The battle is on between Frank Murphy, Tomas O'Leary and Mike Prendergast for the number nine jersey.

New signing Anthon Pitout will join Gary Connolly and Trevor Hasltead in what will be an interesting back division to compliment their forward pack.

Kidney is expected to name his starting line-up on Friday lunchtime.
