Chris Paterson’s six penalties gave Scotland victory in today’s RBS 6 Nations Championship match against Italy at Murrayfield.

The Edinburgh full-back slotted over all his efforts with aplomb to give coach Matt Williams his first win in the tournament.

Italy replied with a penalty from Roland de Marigny, who missed two other easy opportunities, and a late try from Andrea Masi – but they are still searching for a first away Six Nations win.
