Gloucester have appointed New Zealand fitness coach Mike Anthony to their management team for next season.

Gloucester have appointed New Zealand fitness coach Mike Anthony to their management team for next season.

Anthony has worked as the All Blacks’ fitness advisor for the last four years, having previously served with the Canterbury NPC team and Super 12 side Crusaders.

The Cherry and Whites director of rugby Nigel Melville told www.gloucesterrugbyclub.com: “Mike’s appointment is a major signing for us. He is one of the best in the world in his field and his achievements and track record say it all.

“We expect Mike to have a significant impact, and he could be one of our most important signings of the summer.”
