Celtic League to stay as it is

The current Celtic League structure based on a 22-game, home and away, format will be retained for, at least, the next two seasons.

The current Celtic League structure based on a 22-game, home and away, format will be retained for, at least, the next two seasons.

The Celtic Cup will now take place at the end of the League and will only involve the top eight clubs from the League.

"Having examined many options, and taken into account the differing rugby and business needs in all three countries, the board has endorsed the 22-game Celtic League programme for at least the next two seasons," said Celtic Rugby's tournament director, Keith Grainger.
