AIL Division Two Round Up
UL Bohemians have clambered to the top of the AIB League Division Two ahead of previous leaders Young Munster, thanks to this afternoon’s 14-7 success over Barnhall at Thomond Park.
Out-half Ian Delaney followed up his impressive salvo of 26 points against Barnhall with another man-of-the-match performance.
Their fourth win of the season saw them overhaul Munsters who lost disappointing at home, 20-9 to DLSP.
Conor Hickey won the battle of the out halves for the Wicklow men, with Barry Murphy hitting three penalty replies for Munsters.
Old Belvedere took second place from Munsters with a bonus-point 23-20 win over Waterpark.
A penalty from centre Richie Governey was all Terenure could score at Old Crescent as the Limerick club ran out 17-3 winners.
Elsewhere, Midleton enjoyed their second win of the season when entertaining Dublin University, a win which sees them move from 14th to 13th with DU still in the top five.
Two penalties from Bryan Morris was enough for the east Cork side to win out 6-3.
There were also home wins for Malone (33-13 v Thomond), Bective Rangers (19-13 v Sunday’s Well) and Ballynahinch, who defeated UCC 25-20 at home.
Malone’s fifth bonus point takes them up to tenth.
