Convincing win for Bective Rangers

Bective Rangers began their Ledden Finance Leinster Senior Cup campaign with a convincing 25-14 win over Greystones at Donnybrook this evening.

For the first time, the competition will be run initially on a league basis, and out-half Fergal Campion kicked five penalties to give Bective a 15-0 lead at the break.

They stayed in front courtesy of Campion’s sixth penalty and his conversion of Paul Hatton’s try, while Stones had three penalties from Niall McCarthy and an injury-time try from David McKechnie.
