Fly-half Ronan O’Gara has lost his bid to be fit for Ireland’s RBS 6 Nations Championship opener against Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday.

O’Gara has failed to recover from an ankle injury following a stamp by Neath flanker Brett Sinkinson during Munster’s Celtic League final victory in Cardiff on February 1.
