Friends of Connacht Rugby have confirmed that the ‘Save Connacht Rugby’ protest march to Lansdowne Rd in Dublin tomorrow is definitely going ahead.

The announcement comes despite the very belated postponement of the IRFU Committee meeting scheduled for the same day.

The protest march will start outside Searson’s, Baggot St. at 3.30pm and will make its way to the IRFU HQ at 62 Lansdowne Road.

A letter of protest from Friends of Connacht Rugby plus thousands of signed petitions will be handed to the IRFU at 4pm.

A demonstration and rally will then take place at Lansdowne Road, where the crowd will be addressed by some keynote speakers who have lent their support to the campaign.
