Montferrand's Gerald Merceron returns to the side in place of the man whose late kicking blunders cost France a win against the All Blacks last weekend.

It was Gelez's injury-time penalty miss, coupled with the farcical incident where the ball fell off the kicking tee moments earlier, that saw Les Bleus draw 20-20 with the New Zealanders.

It was the Montferrand star's superb displays at pivot that helped France to the Six Nations title, although an early-season dip in goal-kicking form had been largely to blame for his exit from the No10 shirt for the first two November Tests against South Africa and the All Blacks.

The only other change to the side from Saturday's tied match is on the left wing, where Merceron's Montferrand team-mate David Bory comes in for Toulouse's Cedric Heymans.
