Connacht have two injury worries

Former Australian lock Warwick Waugh and promising full-back Gavin Duffy are Connacht’s two main injury concerns as they prepare for their opening Celtic League encounter away to new Scottish side Borders in Selkirk on Friday night.

Waugh sat out Friday’s 40-33 pre-season win over Munster but is expected to fully recover from hamstring trouble to play against Borders.

Meanwhile, coach Steph Nel is hopeful that Duffy, who was forced to retire with a leg injury in that friendly, will also be fit to play.
