Leinster go down to Bristol in dramatic circumstances
Leinster 17 Bristol 21
A second-string Leinster side went down 17-21 to Bristol in dramatic circumstances in today's friendly encounter.
Leinster - missing several key players called up to the Irish training camp in Limerick - led through Andy Dunne's penalty goal after four minutes.
Des Dillon's try, converted by Dunne, increased their advantage on 28 minutes.
Bristol got bak into the game through a Shaw try converted by Drahm to leave the score at 10-7 to Leinster at half-time.
A converted try from Bristol after 44 minutes gave them a 14-10 lead which stood until the 70th minute, when replacement wing forward Shane Jennings went over.
The conversion was scored by replacement Matthew Leak to leave Leinster 17-14 ahead.
The lead lasted until the final minute, when Drahm scored and converted a try to win 21-17.
It was a good experience for the untried Leinster side, however, and it may be a different story in the Heineken Cup.
