UL Bohemians moved up to third place in Division 2 of the AIL following this win over Malone at Thomond Park.

This ill-tempered game saw the referee send the visitor’s Stuart Duncan off and sin-bin four others.

Malone opened the scoring with a Jacque Benade penalty but UL Bohemians led 20-8 at half-time thanks to two penalties from Ian Costello, who also converted tries from Conor Fitzgerald and Martin McPhail.

The visitor's lone try came from Stuart Porter.

After the interval, both kickers traded penalties before Andre Coetzee crossed the line for UL’s third and final try.
