AIL rugby: Old Crescent relegated despite win

Battling Old Crescent were relegated from division one despite scoring a dramatic win at Shannon.

The Old Crescent laid the groud rock for the victory in the opening half after which the lead 25-3.

The visitors had tries from Sean Madigan, Willy Tracey and Matt Bird.

Tracey was in excellent form through out contributing 21 points of his sides score.

Shannon up their performance after the break from John Lacey, Morris Lawlor and Gerard Stapleton.

However Old Crescent won the day with the help of two Tracey penalties.
