Rugby: Galwey blasts lack of video evidence

The row over the decision to disallow a key try in yesterday’s showdown between Munster and Stade Francais continues.

Munster captain Mick Galwey is blasting officials because there is no video evidence of the crucial moment in the game.

The row is the main talking point after the Irish side went down 16-15 defeat at the hands of the French.

Munster fans have been greeting the decision of English touch-judge Steve Landers to disallow a key try from John O’Neil with disbelief.

Without video evidence referee Chris White has no option but to stand behind the decision.

Galway says he is surprised there was no video referee. He said: "If it is good enough for the Six Nations Championship, it should also be in operation for a European Cup semi-final".
