PBC Cork, Christian Brothers and Crescent saunter through to Munster Schools Senior Cup semi-final
Ard Scoil were never a match to the finely tuned Pres outfit who scored eleven tries in one of the most one-sided games seen recently in the competition.
Pres did everything right and scored some marvellous tries as they sliced open the Ard Scoil defence time and time again.
Pres led 33-0 at the interval and added even more points in the second half to let the Limerick side pleased to see the end of the game.
Sam O'Donovan had a hat trick of tries, David Hyland scored twice and the winners had further tries from Mark McCarthy, Mark McLoughlin, Eoin Byrnes and Darragh O'Callaghan, with Sean French grabbing one and four conversions, Louis Bruce tacking on another as well as a conversion while James Broderick kicked one conversion.
Cian Murphy had a consolation try for the losers and Darragh O'Gormon kicked the conversion.
Meanwhile, Christian Brothers College secured a place in the semi-final of the Munster Senior Cup with a hat-trick of tries against St Clement’s College.
The host team secured the lead 14 minutes into the game from inside the 22 with a score from Robbie Hedderman.
The favourites were put under pressure by St Clement’s College's Adam Marshall as the game opened up but more tries from O’Connor, Barrett, Hedderman and Buckley secured the win for Christian Brothers College.

In another Munster Schools Senior Cup quarter-final, Crescent secured a spot in the semi-final over Rockwell.
After scoring two first-class tries in the opening quarter hour, Crescent looked set for a comfortable win over Rockwell in yesterday’s quarter-final of the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup at Rosbrien.
But Rockwell’s proud tradition stood to them and they battled on with typical guts and resilience to stand just two points behind as the game entered stoppage time.
It was only then that a fifth Crescent try ensured them of a place in the semi-finals after a game blessed with some fine rugby but also blemished with the kind of errors one doesn’t associate with teams of this stature at an advanced stage of the competition.
