Munster buoyed as O’Donnell fit to face Ulster

Tommy O’Donnell came through his 20-minute stint against Leinster at Thomond Park on Sunday without any adverse affect to the hip injury which ruled him out of the World Cup and will start for Munster in tomorrow’s Guinness Pro12 clash with Ulster at Kingspan Park, Belfast.

It is hoped the 28-year-old Cahir native can add badly-needed strength to the Munster pack, especially in the ball-carrying area, where he has been particularly adept throughout his career.

It will be O’Donnell’s 103rd competitive appearance for the province and an impressive display will almost certainly see him included in the as yet announced extended Irish squad for a two-day camp at Carton House.
