Munster are hoping for Thomond Park’s biggest crowd of the season in Friday’s Guinness Pro 12 clash with Ulster (6pm) Just over 5,000 turned up for a repeat of last year’s final with Glasgow and the atmosphere was well short of what one expects when top teams meet at the iconic venue.

But with the World Cup winding down, Munster out-half Ian Keatley hopes the fans will flock to Limerick - and be rewarded with a super spectacle.

“Obviously the World Cup is a world event so of course the PRO12 is going to take a back seat. But I think with the European games coming up soon and the internationals returning, the intensity and the thrills are going to start coming back into these games.”
