Gilroy set to make return for Ulster

Ireland winger Craig Gilroy could return to action this weekend as he is on the Ulster bench for the RaboDirect Pro12 derby against Connacht in Galway on Saturday.

Gilroy set to make return for Ulster

The 22-year-old speedster, who made a try-scoring Test debut against Argentina last autumn, has been sidelined for five months recovering from a persistent groin problem. But, after slowly recuperating under the watchful eye of the Ulster medical team, Gilroy is now ready.

While not named in Joe Schmidt’s initial 42-man autumn international squad, Gilroy has time to state his case before the games against Samoa, New Zealand and Australia.
