MRSC not expecting repeat of Quins invasion

Munster Rugby Supporters Club confirmed yesterday a full sale of their 5,000 tickets for the trip to Montpellier for the clash with Clermont Auvergne on Saturday and are hopeful some industrious fans will also manage to get their hands on tickets. However, they do not anticipate a similar invasion to the one that so surprised Harlequins in the semi-final and led to the English club castigating their supporters for selling on tickets.
“We’ve sold 5,000 but they [Clermont] are keeping a tight rein on it. If got 6,000 in we would be doing well,” said MRSC manager Jennifer Kiernan. The ERC yesterday confirmed a 30,000 plus attendance for the match on a weekend they expect to sell 85,000 tickets for the Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup semi-finals.
