No sense of sensibility as Best looks to future

Rory Best is confident Ireland’s younger generation of rugby stars will have no difficulty coping with life without Brian O’Driscoll who has all but admitted the 2013 Six Nations will be the last campaign in which he wears the green jersey.

The 119-times capped centre said earlier this week there was a “strong possibility” this would be his last Championship 13 years after his debut in the tournament.

His first try for his country came in the 44-22 rout of Scotland at Landowne Road, two weeks after his debut, which proved to be the springboard for the upsurge in the national team’s fortunes and, of that squad, only O’Driscoll, Ronan O’Gara and Peter Stringer are still playing.
