Ferris hopeful of facing Munster

Ulster’s Irish international Stephen Ferris remains hopeful he will be fit for Sunday’s Heineken Cup quarter-final against Munster.

Ferris rolled his ankle after just half an hour of the province’s 45-7 RaboDirect Pro12 victory over Aironi at Ravenhill on Friday night.

He has received intensive treatment over the weekend to reduce swelling ahead of an MRI scan today to ascertain theextent of the damage.

However, Ferris told his Twitter followers that he “will hopefully be sweet for next sun”.
