Poitrenaud called up for Ireland clash

France have called up Clement Poitrenaud after full-back Maxime Medard was ruled out of Sunday’s RBS 6 Nations clash againstIreland with a knee injury.

Medard suffered the injury in their victory over Scotland and will undergo an MRI scan to discover how long he is likely to besidelined for.

“He is an obvious choice. There are not many full-backs in our squad,” Phillipe Saint-Andre said.
