Kinsella could be catalyst for Waterpark

HAVING lost their unbeaten record to a last-minute try against table toppers Skibbereen last week, things don’t get any easier for Waterpark when they meet another undefeated side in Galbally.

Kinsella could be catalyst for Waterpark

It has been a strong campaign by the Waterford side so far, as they demonstrated plenty of exciting rugby. Murray Kinsella could be a key playmaker but they know their pack will need to compete.

The away team will be brimming with confidence. Their solid defence and powerful forwards have been the basis for their success and they will hope to wear down their opponents.

Skibbereen will be confident of maintaining their top spot despite being on the road to Old Christians.

Richmond are only a point behind Skibb but know they need to keep the pressure on as they travel to an improving Crosshaven.

Kanturk have been the surprise package with four successive wins and travel to Tralee. A strong forward unit for the north Cork club has allowed Darragh Meade and Paul Cotter control affairs from half-back, but. While Tralee haven’t hit form, they still possess plenty of talent but will need a big performance from their pack.

Clonmel will be given a tough game at Cobh but should keep their title challenge alive. Kilfeacle will maintain their upturn in form as they face bottom of the table Thurles while St Senan’s host Clanwilliam.

The big clash of the day in Division 2 will sees third face second as Youghal host Presentation. There should also be a big battle down in west Limerick, as Newcastle West and Killarney know a win will be vital. St Mary’s travel to face an Ennis side who will hope to ply misery on the Limerick club.

Scariff celebrated their first win in the division last week but will do well to get anything as they visit Mallow.

There are big matches at the wrong end of the table. Bandon and Ballincollig face off in a mid-Cork derby. Castleisland host Newport with both sides battling against the drop while Muskerry will also be eager for points at home to Kinsale.

In Division 3, Dungarvan will face a tough test against Abbeyfeale where a win will make them serious promotion contenders. Killorglin are also going well and top the table. A trip to Douglas won’t be easy but they can win. Carrick-on-Suir and Charleville are still in the hunt and aim for bonus-point victories against Shandon and Kilrush respectively.

Dunmanway and Bantry Bay should provide an intense west Cork derby while Corca Dhuibhne aim to account for Fermoy.
