Bowe injury rocks Irish hopes
The Ospreys play-maker will miss today’s Heineken Cup game against Toulon at the Liberty Stadium and faces an intense medical check to get to the root of a knee problem.
Ospreys head physio Chris Towers confirmed yesterday Bowe was in trouble: “We’ve withdrawn Tommy from this weekend’s game on medical grounds pending further investigation.
“We scanned him this week, which highlighted an issue that could potentially develop into something problematic. We have notified the Irish medical team, and following further investigations next week we should be able to establish the most appropriate treatment and to confirm whether it will interfere with Tommy’s involvement in the Six Nations with Ireland.”
