Quinlan determined to make up for ban

ALAN QUINLAN still regrets last summer’s suspension trauma but has vowed to compensate by ending the 2009/2010 season on a career high.

The suspension which followed an incident involving Leinster skipper Leo Cullen in Munster’s ill-fated Heineken Cup semi-final robbed Quinlan of the chance of a lifetime to tour with the British and Irish Lions.

He knows he can never turn back the clock to change the circumstances of what happened. He admitted: “Missing out on the Lions was something that didn’t go away, and still hasn’t gone away. It still affects me. It’s something that will probably stay with me for the rest of my days.”
