Bradley awaits Ta’auso news

CONNACHT coach Michael Bradley expects to know the extent of the knee injury picked up by outside centre Niva Ta’auso later today but he is confident the Samoan will be fit for the Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-final next month.

The 29-year-old hobbled off in Wednesday’s 16-3 win over the Dragons, sparking fears it was a recurrence of a medial knee ligament injury.

“We are hopeful it is not a recurrence of the medial ligament injury. He has a lot of bruising and we need to wait for that to go down but we are keeping our fingers crossed,” said Bradley. Connacht travel to Leinster next week before putting their unbeaten home record stretching back to September on the line against Edinburgh, the week before taking on Bourgoin in the quarter-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
