Foley on fire as CBC overwhelm local rivals

POWERED by an inspirational performance from scrum-half Ryan Foley, CBC overwhelmed defending champions PBC to claim their place in the semi-finals of the Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup in an entertaining quarter-final clash at Temple Hill yesterday.

Foley, who was decisive, quick and accurate at the back of the scrum, was never far from the action. He opened the scoring with a well-struck penalty after five minutes, combined with full-back, Cillian Monaghan, and winger, Adam Finn, to set up Rory Burke’s try after 10 minutes.

He then landed his second penalty before Tommy Duggan opened PBC’s account with a penalty after 27 minutes.
