Dragons v Biarritz to be played today

LAST night’s Heineken Cup clash between Newport Gwent Dragons and Biarritz was postponed until today.

A partially frozen pitch at Rodney Parade left referee Alain Rolland with little alternative but to call off the Pool Two fixture around three hours before the scheduled kick-off.

The game will now take place today at Parc-y-Scarlets in Llanelli.

Should Biarritz win the 1.35pm kick-off, they will be within sight of reaching the quarter-finals. Biarritz beat the Dragons 49-13 in France last Sunday, a result which meant they opened up a nine-point advantage at the top of their group.
