ULSTER RUGBY has named Bangor-based Shane Logan as their new chief executive following the resignation of Michael Reid early last month.

The 46-year-old former Harland and Wolff general manager will take up his post in the New Year when he leaves his current post as chief executive of the Royal National Institute of the Blind, based in Belfast city centre.

A graduate of Bangor Grammar School and Manchester University where he studied Law, Logan has gained a wealth of commercial experience over the last 17 years in various high profile role in a wide range of industry sectors.
