Mulcair drives Crescent to semi-finals

A SPLENDIDLY-TAKEN try by second row Brian Mulcair in the 38th minute was the difference between the sides in this Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup quarter-final replay played at Dooradoyle yesterday.

Crescent face Limerick rivals St Munchin’s in the semi-final on Saturday week but will have to improve on yesterday’s performance if they are to progress.

Glenstal dominated play and had many scoring opportunities however, they failed because they had no straight, direct runner in midfield and too many of their attacks were lateral and they invariably ran out of space.
