William McEvoy’s seventh-minute penalty was cancelled out by St Mary’s Darragh Fitzpatrick and ‘Zaga threatened an upset when William McEvoy booted the ball on for his brother Daniel to ground.

Fitzgerald stroked over a penalty and sent Darren Hudson into overdrive with Ray Crotty on hand to register a classic try. Fitzgerald’s conversion made it 13-10 and there were three penalties to follow before his sleight of hand sent Maurice Walsh in near the end.
