Dragons leave it late to seal victory in dour affair
The first scores arrived when Parks earned Glasgow territory with a good kick and, when the Dragons made an error 35 metres out, the number 10’s penalty somehow crawled over.
Glasgow kept the Dragons at bay until half-time, with the visitors going in 3-0 up.
The Dragons started well after the interval and when Glasgow went offside at a ruck under their posts, Wales international Ceri Sweeney booted the simplest of three points.
The final surge saw Sweeney hammer home a second penalty as the final 10 minutes approached.
And the home side were rewarded when Sweeney cross-kicked for Wales wing Aled Brew to dive in to score.
Sweeney’s conversion from the touchline was superb and fittingly the last action of the game.
