O’Gara more than fit to joust Jonny in battle of the boots

RONAN O’GARA has received a ringing endorsement from one of the greatest number 10s to have graced the world stage.

And Scotland’s John Rutherford has backed the Irishman to stand shoulder to shoulder with English wonder-boy Jonny Wilkinson at Croke Park.

In his day, the former Scottish international won 44 caps and played for the British and Irish Lions in both 1983 and 1986. Like O’Gara, he was also a partner in a long-term alliance with a half-back colleague.
