Final scores RTÉ huge ratings winner

MUNSTER aren’t the only ones celebrating the Heineken Cup final. RTÉ last night revealed record breaking audience figures for their coverage of the decider on Saturday afternoon.

An average of more than half a million people (532,000) tuned in for RTÉ’s match coverage, with a massive audience peak of over three quarters of a million (756,000) tuning in for the final minutes of coverage.

This was the highest viewership ever recorded by the station for a Heineken Cup game.
