Ulster sticking with Campbell at scrum-half

ULSTER coach Mark McCall has opted to retain Kieran Campbell at scrum-half for Monday’s Celtic League clash against Leinster at Ravenhill (5pm).

Isaac Boss came on for Campbell against Saracens last weekend.

It’s unclear if Justin Harrison and Matt McCullough can play after their citings last weekend so Ryan Caldwell and Rowan Frost are on stand-by.

Kevin Maggs is a slight doubt because of injury so Jonny Bell is on stand-by for the centre berth.

Maggs sustained a shoulder injury in training but he is expected to be fit.

The Ireland captain had two back spasms this week, and may prefer to make his long-awaited comeback against Munster at the RDS in Dublin on New Year’s Eve.

However, Leinster coach Michael Cheika has named all the present internationals including Shane Horgan, Girvan Dempsey, Malcolm O’Kelly and Gordon D’Arcy.

Boss impressed when he was introduced in last weekend’s Heineken Cup game but McCall has decided to keep faith with Campbell.
