Powell named in Wales squad

Gloucester prop Gary Powell has been called up to train with the Wales national squad ahead of the autumn international series next month.

Powell, who arrived at Kingsholm in the summer from Leeds Tykes, impressed Wales coach Ruddock during Saturday’s Zurich Premiership win over Harlequins.

With Wales struggling for competition at tight-head, the 24-year- old former Cardiff prop has been give his first chance to impress.
