Munster destiny more important than records, says O’Gara

RONAN O’GARA is set to create a new Heineken Cup record when Munster clash twice with Castres in the tournament next month.

But records were far from his mind as he travelled to Dublin yesterday to join up with the Irish squad in preparation for the autumn internationals.

O’Gara is second in the list of Europe’s leading scorers with 628 points, just 17 adrift of the legendary Italy out-half Diego Dominguez, who has retired with a points haul of 645.
