O’Connor poised for debut as Hickie and Miller retain places for Boks’ visit

WASPS flanker Johnny O’Connor is poised to make his Ireland debut against Tri-Nations champions South Africa at Lansdowne Road on Saturday week.

O’Connor was yesterday named among the 22 players to prepare for the match after coach Eddie O’Sullivan culled the squad from 32.

As the only open side in the squad, O’Connor seems certain to start the match.
