IRELAND’S Six Nations victory over England on Saturday attracted the highest ever Irish television audience for the tournament.

643,000 people tuned in to RTÉ Two for the duration of the game with 821,000 viewers tuning in for the dramatic climax which saw Ireland beat England at Twickenham to clinch the Triple Crown.
