Umaga says English players proved a point

TANA UMAGA believes England’s players proved a point against New Zealand.

Umaga’s much-fancied team managed to cling on for a four-point victory, 23-19, in a game of the highest quality at Twickenham, and in doing so completed the third leg of what now looks certain to be a ‘grand slam’ tour.

But after the thrashings handed out to Wales and Ireland in the previous two Test matches of the tour, the All Blacks were given a reality check by Andy Robinson’s men.
