WALES coach Mike Ruddock is hoping the Six Nations Grand Slam champions can follow in the footsteps of South Africa this evening in Cardiff when they bid for their first win against New Zealand in 52 years.

The All Blacks completed a 3-0 series whitewash of the British and Irish Lions in July before securing the Tri-Nations title.

But August saw New Zealand lose 22-16 against South Africa in Cape Town their only defeat in eight Tests this year.
