Flatley shaken out of comfort zone

THE uproar caused by Elton Flatley’s decision to have an extra hour in bed has proved to be a World Cup wake-up call for the Australian vice-captain.

The 26-year-old inside centre faced an uncertain future earlier this season when a night on the town after Australia’s 30-10 win over Wales led to him being booted out of the Wallabies squad.

Flatley, who had established himself at fly-half after wins over Ireland and the Welsh, overslept after the late-night carousing and missed a national team meeting.
